Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 22, 2026
Pop-Up Galaxy, Inc., doing business as TruckAround (“TruckAround,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), runs the TruckAround app for iOS, Android and the web, our public web pages about food trucks, and related services (together, the “Services”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
In this policy, “Diners” are people who use TruckAround to find food trucks, with or without an account. “Vendors” are the businesses and individuals, including sole proprietors, who have an account to put their truck on the map.
The Services are for people in the United States.
1. What We Collect
From Diners
- Account details, if you create an account: your email address and password.
- Your saved trucks, if you save any.
- Device and usage information: your IP address, device type, operating system, app version, an identifier the App creates so it can keep your saved trucks, which features you use, and crash reports. We do not collect advertising identifiers.
- Location, if you allow it: your device’s location, which the App sends to our servers to find trucks near you. We do not store it on our servers. If you don’t allow it, we may estimate your general area from your IP address, for example to choose where the map opens. We don’t store that estimate either.
From Vendors
- Account and contact details: your email address, password, name and phone number.
- Your business profile: your business name, description, photos, cuisines, links and public phone number.
- Location: your device’s precise location when you check in, so diners can find you. See section 3.
- Schedules and places: the times and places you tell us you plan to serve, and places you save.
- Payment verification: when you verify your business, our payment processor collects your card details. We keep only a reference to your account with that processor and the result of the verification.
- Device and usage information: the same as for Diners.
From Everyone
- Messages you send us, such as emails to support.
2. How We Use It
We use information to:
- run the Services, including accounts, the map, search, saved trucks, check-ins and schedules;
- show Vendors’ trucks, profiles and schedules to the public;
- give Vendors statistics about how diners find them, which never identify individual Diners;
- keep the Services secure and prevent fraud and abuse;
- fix problems and improve the Services;
- send you messages about your account, such as sign-up confirmations, password resets, security alerts and changes to this policy, and, if you have an account, occasional news about TruckAround, which you can unsubscribe from at any time;
- meet our legal obligations.
3. Location
Diners: using your location is optional, and the rest of the App works without it. When you allow it, your location is sent to our servers to find trucks near you and is never stored there. You can turn location access off at any time in your device’s settings.
Vendors: checking in requires precise location. While you are checked in, your location, business name and status are public: anyone can see them in the App and on our web pages, and search engines and partners that list food trucks may show them too. Your schedule is public in the same way. We keep your schedule, including past stops, while your account is open. A stop you cancel is deleted. We delete your precise location when you check out, or automatically no later than 12 hours after you check in. After you check out, we may keep a record of where you checked in, but only at the level of the city or county.
4. Who We Share It With
- The public: Vendor profiles, check-in locations while checked in, and schedules, as described above.
- Service providers that help us run TruckAround: hosting and databases, email delivery, payment processing, maps, analytics, error reporting, and security and fraud prevention. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public or us.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or sale, where this policy would continue to apply to your information.
We may also share statistics that do not identify any person, device or business, such as the number of trucks in a city.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We will never sell Diners’ information. If we ever want to offer Vendor information to third parties, for example to help Vendors find more customers, we will update this policy first and include a Vendor only with their permission.
5. How Long We Keep It
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires. Specifically:
- A Vendor’s precise location: until check-out, and no more than 12 hours.
- Device and connection information, including IP addresses: up to 31 days.
- Usage and crash information: up to 12 months.
- Account information: while your account is open, and up to 31 days after you delete it.
- Vendors’ schedules and saved places: while your account is open, and up to 31 days after you delete it.
- Vendors’ city- or county-level check-in history, and records we must keep by law: up to 3 years.
6. Your Choices and Rights
Wherever you live in the United States, you can:
- see the personal information we have about you, and get a copy;
- correct it if it’s wrong;
- delete it. You can delete your account in the App at any time. A Diner’s account is deleted right away. A Vendor’s truck and schedule come off the map right away, and the account, schedule and saved places are deleted up to 31 days later; logging in before then keeps them.
To make a request, email privacy@truckaround.app. We will confirm your identity, usually through the email address on your account, and respond within 45 days. If we turn down a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. We will never treat you differently for using these rights.
You can also turn off location access in your device’s settings, and unsubscribe from news emails using the link in any of them.
We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because there is no agreed standard for what they mean.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee it.
8. Children
The Services are not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. Vendors must be at least 18.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. If we make a significant change, we will tell you in the App or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
